The integrated team of storytellers leads the university in areas such as: branding, marketing communications, public relations, media relations, website design and development, print design, writing, photography, video production, social media, analytics.
Detailed Job Description
The Production Engineer (the Engineer) is part of the University Production Services engineering team. This team of engineering professionals supports our on air/ live production/events, along with post-production needs and ongoing technical support required for such events and facilities. The Engineer will require experience in audio/video IT operations to support a video production system that relies on a networked equipment infrastructure.
The Engineer will provide engineering and support (both as Engineer in Charge and/or as a member of the engineering team) for live events, as well as providing ongoing support for the systems related to our production/events infrastructure . He/she will focus on all visual aspects of live events such as concerts, shows, exhibits, etc. along with traditional TV broadcast/streaming applications. Nights and weekends are occasionally required, especially during peak production times.
Required Minimum Qualifications
3+ years TV and/or Audio/Video technical event management experience required
3+ years maintenance and support experience of audio/video and production equipment required
Solid background in live television and/or live Event production (preferably both operations and engineering) and a thorough knowledge of the current tools and technologies including Network and IT infrastructures for Video and Audio workflows.
In-depth knowledge of Audio/Video signal processing systems
Knowledge and experience in site design, event layout, equipment configuration and function, staffing requirements and capability, and integration of all related services for event planning, staging and operation of remotes.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to thoroughly research problems and implement their solutions
Verbal and written communication skills
Team skills many tasks require the interaction with co-workers
