The Center for Career and Professional Success within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks an Industry Connections Assistant to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The Industry Connections Assistant provides reception and sourcing services to support on-campus recruiting and employer relationships for the College of Arts and Sciences Center for Career and Professional Success. Supports on campus recruiting events in consultation with the Office Associate. Greets and welcomes employers to the interview suite. Manages the interview schedules of employers through Ohio State’s career management system, Handshake. Through consultation with Industry Connections team, assists with employer sourcing through evaluation of current employer relationships and identifies potential employers for outreach utilizing Handshake, LinkedIn and other resources. Assists employers with interview and check-in process. Assists with questions from students and tracks student attendance from interviews. Maintains organization of interview suite.
Six months of experience (600 hours of course work) in office practices and procedures, including customer service/public relations; three months of experience (300 hours of training) operating basic office machines and equipment (e.g., computer related and peripheral equipment, copy machines, typewriters, calculators).
Familiar with Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Outlook; demonstrates interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; previous experience in an office environment preferred; comfortable with learning new technology, specifically Ohio State's career management system Handshake; demonstrates interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Target Salary: $11.50 - $12.50 Hourly
