Community Health Services (CHS) is looking for a creative professional to assist in planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies, marketing communications, and event coordination. This position is an ideal fit for a professional with exceptional organizational and communication skills and a passion for community programming. The ideal candidate will have content, social, and digital experience and is responsible for coordinating cross-functional marketing and communications projects. The Administrative Coordinator/Project Coordinator Marketing and Events responsibilities are split between Marketing (65%) and Event Coordination (35%). This position is part of the CHS Leadership Team.

Develop and build CHS brand awareness through both traditional and new media campaigns.
Support the development and management of CHS website pages, where needed; responsible for editing, updating photos, designing new content and creating web forms as needed .
Promote and market CHS programs and activities using social media (Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, etc.).
Develop and/or edit CHS newsletter, Annual Report, infographics, blog posts and podcasts to educate community on issues of importance and promote and market CHS programs and services.
Work with directors to identify photo and video needs and opportunities.
Maintain, organize, distribute, organize and solicit CHS videos and images archive.
Collaboratively manages and coordinates creation and updates of web content.
Manage and coordinate content calendar with directors to proactively create relevant content for the web, social media, etc.
Maintain materials for updates, display boards, and marketing campaigns to launch new services or programs.
Use Adobe software or similar software to develop marketing and other print materials, or work with graphic designers as needed.
Act as liaison for CHS with the Michigan Medicine Department of Communications to coordinate stories, press releases and other marketing activities.
Work with Planning Committees to provide coordination support for events which may include workshops, outreach activities and other events.
Identify vendors and negotiate materials, supplies and promotional giveaway items when needed.
Coordinate schedules for outreach event coverage (includes staff and volunteers) and staff table as needed.
Assist with needs for various CHS events such as A/V or promotional materials, photography, social media support and staffing.
Maintain updated CHS events calendar.
Associates degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations or similar discipline.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to write, edit and produce professional print materials. This includes strong proofreading skills.
Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated high proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
Demonstrated high proficiency with Wordpress, Constant Contact®, Drupal TM or similar platforms.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects/events simultaneously.
Previous experience with developing marketing campaigns and event planning.
Demonstrated experience working across cultures and communities to create culturally appropriate marketing materials and events
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or similar discipline.
Demonstrated ability to teach technology to others.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Technologically astute and able to quickly learn new computer software.
Commitment to department’s mission, vision and goals.
Candidate may be required to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
