This position manages and performs all day-to-day Admissions operations at Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dublin campus. This position further collaborates with the multi-campus Heritage College, Admissions team on student recruitment efforts and college-wide events. The role enhances the overall Heritage College, Admissions process through local engagement, digital presence, community outreach programming, communication and collaboration with external as well as internal Ohio University and Heritage College constituents.
-1.Manage timely communications with prospective and accepted students as well as their families. Review applicant records, assist applicants with the application process and answer status inquiries. Answer internal customer (Dean's Office, Student Affairs, Development, Alumni Affairs) inquiries regarding applicants, statistical data, reports and processes. Consult with multi-campus Admissions team or refer inquiries as needed in order to best serve the applicant or internal customer. Attend Dublin campus and Heritage College multi-campus meetings as required. Assist and coordinate various Heritage College, Admissions efforts such as PreCOM (pre-orientation), Convocation and Pre-Med receptions. Provide Dublin campus tours for prospective and accepted students, pre-med advisors, clubs and targeted high school groups as well as their families. Coordinate group visits and tours to campus and provide Admissions presentations as requested. Coordinate Dublin staff and current medical student participation in tours to enhance the campus visit experience. Prepare, maintain and distribute current admissions materials to guests and manage/order recruiting and promotional materials for Dublin campus use. Assist with creation and implementation of print and electronic marketing/recruitment campaigns and materials (e.g. promotional items) for campus and overall college. Promote the campus and college through social media and other recruitment channels. Provide social media content and increase activity on social media platforms, assist in monitoring platforms to identify potential adverse events or promotional opportunities. -requirement tracking. Engage with Central Ohio EAP partner schools and admissions administrators. Initiate semi-annual meetings with all EAP students (up to 80 total undergraduate students in a given year) on their campus and maintain frequent communication with all students. Collaborate with partner school faculty committee members to improve program and supplement recruitment efforts. Participate in EAP interviews and selection process annually. Manage all off-campus recruitment efforts in Central Ohio by attending area college fairs, targeted high school classrooms/events, open houses and college pre-health/pre-medicine club meetings. Participate in annual campus and college outreach programs, presenting information on college preparation and admissions. Represent Heritage College at regional conferences as needed. 2. Support and sustain relationships between the Heritage College, Dublin and the community, as to enhance the community’s awareness and perception of the Heritage College. Assist in cultivating, building and sustaining external collaborative relationships with local school districts, educational and youth associations, community-based organizations, businesses and municipal government. Coordinate, plan and assist with implementation of campus and college initiatives creating program awareness, along with collaborative activities in the community. Ensure coordination of community initiatives and assist with special programs/projects.
-3.Manage Dublin campus COMrade (student to student) mentoring program for medical students including matches, communications and program collaborations. Serve as advisor to Heritage College, Dublin Medical Mentor Club. Responsible for recruiting undergraduate mentees for Dublin Medical Mentor club. Meet regularly with club leaders, assist with planning and implementing annual events such as mentor training workshops and guest speaker programs. Responsible for assisting in the club mentor match process and communicating those matches to mentors and mentees.
-Bachelor’s degree in student personnel, education, higher education administration, organizational management, communications or closely related field.
