Essential Functions: The Director of the MI Poison Control Center is responsible for providing comprehensive leadership and administrative oversight to the Michigan Poison Control Center (MiPCC). This person is responsible for overall management of the Poison Center including operational, financial and administrative duties, public relations, and strategic planning. The Director works collaboratively with the Medical Director, oversees a current staff of 19 CSPI/SPI and reports directly to the Chair of Academic Emergency Medicine.Promote, market and increase the visibility of the MI PCCSeek external funding through grants/gifts to support the program activities of the MI PCCProvide day-to-day operations management of MI PCCTeach rotators and fellows in area of expertise Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy degree or RN with Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health or Business related fieldFive years clinical pharmacy or toxicology experience with some supervisory oversight experience. Poison Center experience preferred but not required. Qualifications for Adjunct Faculty appointment at WSU Registered appropriate professional licensure and Controlled Substance licensure in the State of Michigan obtained within three months of entry into the jobMeets criteria to pursue board eligibility for the American Board of Applied Toxicology Board and Certification within six years of hireGeneral knowledge of clinical toxicology, management, administrative and organizational skills, communication skills, interest in teaching and teaching skillsSome supervisory experience with proven people management skills to include establishing expectations, performance coaching and oversight, accountability, and engagement, conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, tact and listening skills. Strong business acumen and financial knowledge to include budget development and maintenance, financial reporting and grants managementProject management skills Proficient in the use of standard computer software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and appropriate Poison Center EMR
