Qualifications REQUIRED -Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans and content strategies and integrating across multiple platforms planning, problem solving, conflict resolution and consensus building. -Demonstrated use of writing, proofreading and editing skills to use language effectively and creatively, apply AP style guidelines, recognize and use correct English grammar, spell and punctuate correctly, and understand and translate complex concepts into lay terms. -Experience in project management and demonstrated use of problem-solving and organizational skills to effectively monitor and manage multiple/large-scale projects with overlapping deadlines and tasks. -Experience as a project leader engaging people toward a common goal by applying analytical and problem-solving skills. -Presentation skills to present and convey information to a diverse group
PREFERRED -Master's degree in related field, and or equivalent experience/training -TEAMSITE (Intranet/Internet) experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office and publication design and production and skills to use Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign. -Knowledge of UC and UC Davis Health policies and procedures, as well as The Joint Commission, Title 22 and applicable regulations and standards

Responsibilities The role of this position is to develop and execute strategic and effective communication to reach key internal and external audiences and stakeholders. This position independently oversees a comprehensive communications program for the division of Patient Care Services (PCS) that includes written, visual, and digital communications. This position is responsible for management of PCS website, including creating and maintaining public and intranet pages. This position works with leadership to develop, design, and implement strategic communication and information campaigns.
This position advises and consults with PCS Administration and Internal Communications/Public Affairs regarding all aspects of communication including developing strong communications strategies that effectively deliver the desired message, policy interpretation, and problem resolution.
