The Director of Community Relations is responsible for generating public awareness, managing the brand, developing communication materials, and facilitating community engagement through a variety of outreach activities. This position is also responsible for developing, overseeing and evaluating all fundraising, development, marketing and community education activities.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations, or business related field. Master’s degree or commensurate experience preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing and fundraising preferably in a not for profit or healthcare setting.
Previous experience in supervision and management of personnel.
Experience and proven success in individual and corporate giving as well as grant writing and funding activities.
Ability to and communicate clearly in writing and orally with staff, Board, members of the medical community, media and the general public.
Demonstrates a commitment to Hospice of Davidson County processes, policies and standards.
Excellent, organization, strategic and planning skills.
Ability to utilize software systems for creative development and donor management purposes.
Ability to organize, oversee and conduct successful fundraisers and awareness events.
Skilled in research, development, implementation and evaluation of development programming.
Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected information as outlined in HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
Maintains current, unrestricted NC driver’s license and maintains minimum automobile liability insurance for the duration of employment.
