Serves as the evening media specialist and supervisor for Media and Technology Services (MTS) for the Science Center Prep Room. Reporting to the Prep Room Technical Supervisor, the Evening Supervisor:
Supervises and trains temp/LHT and student employees and co-op and other interns;
Supports faculty and other clients with multimedia and computer equipment in classrooms and event spaces;
Using a database, schedules, maintains inventory and completes detailed incident reports;
In a highly skilled manner, operates audio/video/data and additional projectors, classroom computers, assistive listening devices, Crestron operating and e-control systems, matrix and routing switchers, image capture and annotation presentation technology, live streaming, a range of portable media equipment, video and audio recording systems, and sound reinforcement;
Collaborates with IT staff in support of computers in classrooms (PC & MAC);
Coordinates with DCE camera crew and network accessibility issues;
Is responsible for general multimedia equipment maintenance and works with the repair engineers during slow periods.
Duties and responsibilities will change with advancements in technology and resources.
Overtime work will be required.
Applicant must be able to lift 40-50 lbs.
Applicant must be able to climb ladders, walk distances, and move unencumbered.
Position is 35 hours/week 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with a 30-minute meal break.

Experience supervising multimedia staff;
Two years full-time experience working with multimedia equipment;
At least two years of completed college courses.
College degree preferred;
Successful experience providing multimedia customer service in a fast-paced, academic environment;
Knowledge of ITIL methodologies;
Proven ability to supervise, deliver professional customer service, and to manage multiple simultaneous work assignments;
Analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical process issues;
Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills.
CTS certification; Crestron DMC-E; experience with Dante;
College background in related multimedia and /or technology preferred;
2+ years' experience with supervising staff;
Ability to work with a range of constituents and to develop solutions to service problems in a client-friendly manner;
Knowledge of a range of computer software and operating systems is preferred.
