HEADTRACK & FIELD/CROSSCOUNTRYCOACH The Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach will report to the Athletic Director and will oversee all aspects of operating a successful Intercollegiate Track & Field/Cross Country program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Recruiting, Scouting and Evaluation of Prospective Student-Athletes: Identify prospective student-athletes capable of succeeding academically, spiritually, and athletically, as well as successful retention at Ohio Christian University. Update the OCU Athletics Recruiting and Compliance Report on a bi-weekly basis. Maintain a database of prospects including updated records of contacts. Successfully recruit those identified student-athletes. Student-Athlete Skill Instruction; Team and Meet Preparation: Teach all basic and advanced skills required in the sport of Track & Field/Cross Country during individual skill sessions, team practices, as well as the strength and conditioning sessions. Develop and implement of sound and safe practice plans for both individual skill sessions and team practices that successfully prepare the student-athletes with the fundamentals in the sport of Track & Field/Cross Country, as well as the strength and conditioning sessions. Develop a comprehensive and strategic meet plan for each scheduled contest throughout the season. This includes, but is not limited to, the evaluation of upcoming opponents (individual and team), preparing a scouting report for the student-athletes and making adjustments to the meet plan during the contests. Administrative Responsibilities: Organize and coordinate of a wide variety of administrative tasks which include, but not limited to; team travel, meet scheduling, budget preparation, office administration, academics (retention, graduation, GPA's, academic coaching, study tables), compliance, facility usage, public relations, marketing, style guide, fundraising, community engagement, fall-winter-spring summer camps and other daily operations for operating a successful intercollegiate Track & Field/Cross Country program. NAIA Rules Compliance: Be responsible for knowledge of, and adherence to all NAIA rules and regulations pertaining to but not limited to recruiting, eligibility, and general operation of the program. Minimum Position Requirements: A solid working knowledge of a successful Track & Field/Cross Country Program. Two to four years of playing and/or coaching experience at the college level. The selected candidate must successfully pass all NAIA and University requirements for employment.

Education, Training and Experience: oBachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) o2-4 years of playing/coaching at the college level
Skill and Ability to: oStrong public speaking skills that connect with 18-22 year olds oStrong administrative and organizational skills oStrong communication skills both verbal and written oAbility to network with other coaches to continue growth professionally oAbility to successfully recruit a full roster each season (mission fit student athletes)
