The Media Specialist will work closely with the IMATS and Sloate Media Center teams to serve teaching, learning, and scholarship needs at Barnard through media. Reporting to the Associate Director of IMATS & Media Center, this job will include helping the IMATS department assistant in scheduling and managing the student staff workers at IMATS; ; producing and post-producing robust, interactive, and innovative media assets for Barnard courses and internal communications; instructing students and faculty on technology and media tools via workshops and classes.; creating tutorials and other instructional assets; supporting programming and operations at the Media Center; and managing communications / social media for IMATS and Media Center.

Required Qualification Summary:
-Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, film production, or related field. -Minimum of three years of related experience; at least one year working as a supervisor -Demonstrated studio and field production experience -Experience with Adobe Suite and other post-production software -Experience with HD and DSLR cameras, wired and wireless microphones, lighting, backdrops, and related production equipment -Experience with teaching, education, higher education, or other forms of instruction
