Brown Universityâ™s Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology is accepting applications for a full-time, term-limited, grant-funded Photographer to join a project funded through a four-year grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The photographer will work with a team including the museumâ™s curatorial/collections management staff, a conservator, and collection assistants to document the museumâ™s large archaeological and ethnographic collections in preparation for a planned move of the collection and to expand accessibility of the collections to researchers, educators, students and stakeholder communities.
This is a 4-year grant-funded, full-time position with a fixed-term based on project funding.
We seek candidates able to start in the late summer of 2019, with at least two years of experience digitally documenting archaeological and ethnographic collections in a museum, archive, or library setting.
Demonstrated familiarity with record photography of objects required, along with a BA, BFA or B.Sc. degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in photographic documentation of archaeological and ethnographic objects.
Demonstrated experience using a Collection Management System is required with knowledge of MuseumPlus preferred.
