Employee Engagement and Volunteerism (EEV) Lead for Asia Pacific (Vice President)
Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Region Head of Global Philanthropy (GP), the VP will contribute to the management of all Employee Engagement and Volunteerism (EEV) initiatives in the region working closely with the program officers in the GP team as well as counterparts at the country level across 11 markets.
Strategy and Planning
Work closely with the Region Head to develop strategy for driving EEV and strengthening existing infrastructure leveraging the Volunteer Leadership Group (VLG) platform and other signature initiatives , including an annual plan to inform resources, activities and markets prioritization
The strategy should align with business priorities and complement JPMC Foundation grant-making, building on the philanthropic focus areas of jobs and skills, small business expansion and financial health as relevant to the region
Engage with key stakeholders at the regional and country levels including senior sponsors and heads of lines of business, BRGs/diversity councils, HR and recruiting, Tech for Social Good, Communications etc. to support the implementation of the strategy
Act as an advisor, consultant and subject matter expert for VLGs, employee networking groups and other internal stakeholders seeking employee engagement opportunities
Support VLGs to develop a strategy to grow/sustain employee volunteer participation with some efforts directed to increase skills based volunteering portfolio, where possible with GP partners, to build on JPMC Foundation grant-making efforts
Seek opportunities to leverage and adapt global programs to local markets and design specific initiatives to address challenges in key markets, e.g. with hard to reach employee populations
Lead on the implementation of GP signature EEV initiatives including The Schools Challenge that seek to engage employees across businesses, help employees further develop leadership and other skills as well as advance recognition of the firm's commitment to our employees and our communities
Lead the annual APAC Volunteer Month to celebrate and encourage employee volunteering, working closely with VLGs across the region on planning and implementation
Work closely with the Central EEV team, APAC Program Officers, wider Corporate Responsibility colleagues and EEV senior sponsors to ensure the successful implementation of program.
Responsibility to secure annual VLG and other strategic program budgets as applicable working closely with the Central EEV team, and approvals for operational activities such as due diligence review on nonprofits etc.
Ensure EEV budgets are spent in a timely and responsible manner, and adhere to guidelines of Good Works and other global volunteering programs as applicable
Approve all volunteering events uploaded in Cybergrants site and ensure all VLGs complete online system training
Ensure accurate and timely tracking and reporting of EEV numbers and expenses and update the regional management and senior sponsors
Works with Comms team to develop an effective internal communication platform to motivate more employees participation as well as to engage some senior leaders at country / regional level
Review and approve all communication on EEV, in collaboration with Comms
Work with the VLGs and Comms to develop volunteering and engagement stories for wider circulation within the firm
Experience and extensive knowledge in developing EEV strategies with innovative mindset
Relevant & substantial experience with business corporations that has a large workforce with key employees engagement agenda
Ability to mobilize key internal and external key stakeholders and self-motivated and ability to work both in a team as well as in independent context
Proven ability to communicate at all levels
Good balance of analytical, commercial and interpersonal skills
