Manage and coordinate all aspects of Meadow Brook Hall community event details to include budgets, entertainment, menus, linens, décor, valet, special orders, sets, etc. On -site management for all MBH events. In collaboration with the director of external relations set annual community events revenue goals. Grow and change events as needed to reach revenue goal. Manage and coordinate non-community events as needed.
Bachelor's degree in hospitality event management, organizational/business management, recreation or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Three to five years' experience in special events, event creation, implementation and management. Strong creative, strategic, analytical and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Ability to manage a budget. Customer service experience with friendly communications skills with staff and the public are essential. Must be able to work nights and weekends, as events require.
Fund raising experience. Museum or cultural organization experience.
