PT Clerical Assistant, Office of Admissions, Lynn Campus
Up to 20 hours per week
Provide clerical support and customer service to students, parents, the NSCC community and the public related to Admissions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers telephone calls and provides information concerning the application process
Serves as initial point of contact and provide information and materials on various documents or College programs as well as admissions policies and procedures to prospective students, college staff, high school and agency personnel and the general public.
Assists students one-on-one in person, by phone, and via email with the completion of the on-line application.
Posts information in CRM to maintain up-to-date communication records of all students that visit, call or email the College with regards to receiving information about the college or learning about the status of their application.
Completes outbound phone calls to new applicants to notify them of completeness of FAFSA, orientation sign up and attendance, and status regarding registration for classes
Completes outbound phone calls to notify students of event attendance for Open Houses, College Exploration Days, Accepted Students events, Registration events and New Student Orientation
Participates in on campus Admissions and Recruitment events (set-up, tours, etc.) including Registration events, Open Houses, Accepted Student events, College Exploration Days and New Student Orientations as needed.
Adheres to a strong customer service orientation and works with Admissions/Outreach Office, Enrollment Centers, and Student Financial Services to support increase access to the College and assist the College in reaching the College's enrollment goals.
Demonstrates knowledge of NSCC policies, procedures, and programs, as well as labor market information, and applies that knowledge to individual situations to assist students, parents, faculty, staff, and all community constituencies.

SALARY: $15.74 per hour, non-benefited position, up to 20 hours per week.

One year of related clerical experience in a customer service setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Community College experience is a plus.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of student recruitment and admissions.
Outstanding public relations and customer service skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively establish interpersonal connection with culturally diverse populations.
Sensitivity to the concerns and needs of diverse student populations is required.
Must be positive, persistent, detail oriented, energetic, team-orientated, capable of motivating self, and require limited supervision.
Ability and desire to work effectively within a fast-paced, rapidly growing, intense, and multifunctional office environment.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
