The senior writer and communications manager will play an integral role in conceptualizing, crafting and deploying strategic communications on behalf of the Office of the Board of Trustees. A strategic thinker, trouble-shooter and problem-solver, this individual will work closely with the Board Office team and senior leaders in the Chancellor’s Office, the Provost’s Office, the Division of Advancement and External Affairs and the Division of Marketing and Communications to create tailored communications in support of the University’s key priorities. A versatile writer and editor, this individual will not only create and review communications plans, they will primarily serve as a hands-on practitioner, executing day-to-day communications needs, including reviewing, drafting, and editing content. They will work to provide more visibility to University initiatives, progress against goals and upcoming engagement opportunities. The individual will produce high quality content that conveys key information, inspires support and enthusiasm for University priorities, and reflects the Board’s vital and appropriate fiduciary engagement in the University’s shared governance.
