George Mason University, University Life, Regional Campuses is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for a Programming and Administrative Coordinator to support the University Life office located at the Science and Technology Campus in Prince William, VA.
This position is responsible for providing administrative and programming support to the SciTech Campus Office of University Life and provide administrative assistance to the Associate Director, Regional Campuses by assuring quality customer service is delivered to students as well as the faculty, staff and local community. The incumbent will provide support for all operational areas and administrative aspects of the SciTech Campus Office of University Life and assist in facilitating the provision of University Life programs and services that are integral to the students' educational success.
Incumbent must possess knowledge of the university, office policies, procedures as well as administrative and programmatic requirements. Incumbent must possess skills in Microsoft Office applications, e-mail applications, electronic calendar system, as well as the ability to learn and leverage new programs and technologies. Incumbent must possess excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills, be trustworthy, team player, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and exercise sound and independent judgment. Incumbent must be enthusiastic and be able to provide courteous assistance, accurate information and direction, and effectively communicate with all students, internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience; Master's degree preferred. Training in Microsoft Office Suite software programs required. Ideally trained, but not required, in Banner, and eVA purchasing system.
Preferred Qualifications: Working in an office environment with increasing levels of responsibility. Good understanding of public relations principles and customer service philosophies. Experience working with students and student life activities.
