To recruit prospective qualified students to apply to UTA and the School of Social Work's undergraduate and graduate programs, provide professional knowledge, advice and counseling regarding the admissions process, student enrollment and matriculation for the School's academic programs such as the Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work, Ph.D. in Social Work, academic minors and other programs. To provide advanced professional knowledge, advice and counseling skills regarding the student admission and recruitment process for the UTA School of Social Work. In addition, develop and implement marketing and recruiting strategies to recruit, admit and enroll highly qualified applicants for the School of Social Work.
Recruit high school (public and private), charter school, community college, transfer, veterans, undergraduate, graduate, international and other professional degreed students to apply and enroll at UTA and the School of Social Work. Organize, create and participate in off-campus and on-campus recruiting events including, but not limited to preview days, college fairs, classroom presentations, information sessions, community outreach events, and high school and community college events. Responsible for developing and implementing marketing and recruiting strategies to achieve target goals. Use CRM to create and maintain a professional/industry standard prospective student contact and information database. Create and execute email, traditional mail, and social media and phone marketing campaigns for prospective and UTA enrolled students. Travel to conferences, high schools, colleges, and other learning institutions to publicize and explain admission requirements and procedures for the academic programs in the School of Social Work. Assist prospective students with understanding the requirements for admission to UTA and the School of Social Work. Assist international students with language testing, visa and other related recruiting/admissions issues. Review and evaluate prospective students' transcripts and provide general counsel on the requirements needed to meet qualifications for enrollment in all the School of Social Work's academic programs. Monitor all SSWUTA reports related to recruiting and admissions, contact students and assist in enrollment or re-enrollment, and connect students to financial aid, registrar, housing, orientation, advising, veteran's office or other organizations on campus to assist in the admissions process. Assist with administrative and office functions related to recruiting, admissions and community outreach. Monitors, creates and provides updates to website, social media, advertising and marketing material content. Be able to work effectively as a part of an integrated recruiting, communications and marketing team. Replies to phone calls, correspondence and email from prospective students and their family members in a timely manner. Using a CRM track, follow and assist prospective students and applicants throughout the recruiting and admissions process. Develops evaluation procedures. Performs data entry tasks. Prepares correspondence. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree. Two (2) or more years of experience recruiting students for higher education, counseling students on admissions process, using CRM, developing and successfully executing marketing and recruiting strategies. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak comfortably and persuasively in front of large groups. Professional to expert level computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Access); CRM student enrollment system such as Slate, HubSpot or Salesforce; Web conferencing such as Zoom, Skype or GoToMeeting; Email marketing with MyEmma, Fire Engine Red or other email and text marketing software; and using Adobe products such as Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign to create marketing materials (experience can be before the degree was conferred). Ability to use and develop effective and professional level Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Excel products. Demonstrated professional-level written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an integrated team environment of communications, marketing, admissions, academic advisors and recruiting professionals. Experience and demonstrated ability to use a student enrollment and admissions CRM.
Three (3) or more years of experience in recruiting, admissions, sales, marketing, transcript evaluating, residence life and advising high school, community college, transfer or other college students on education and career choices preferred. Experience in developing and executing communications, marketing and public relations strategies and experience developing graphics, marketing, advertising and promotional materials online and hardcopy is a plus. Experience in personalized online targeted marketing, intent marketing, developing ad landing webpages and social media marketing and advertising is a plus. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work is a plus. Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
