The Master of Public Administration Program, Department of Political Science at St. Cloud State University, invites applications from candidates who merit appointment at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2019, to teach in a new Master of Public Administration program. Instruction will occur on the St. Could State University, Northwest Twin Cities campus, and online.
ABD in Public Administration, Public Affairs, or Political Science with a major field in Public Administration.
Demonstrated experience or ability in teaching relevant graduate public administration core courses such as leadership, strategic management, program evaluation, foundations of public administration, budgeting, and electives such as partnerships and innovation and financial management.
The potential for a distinguished record of teaching, research, community engagement, and consultation.
Ability to communicate well with college students matching SCSU's demographic and to advise them in the program and department's degree programs;
Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Proficiency in the above will be demonstrated by a combination of college-level teaching experience, course syllabi, course evaluations, graduate-level coursework, research and publications, and other relevant professional experience.
Ph.D. Public Administration, Public Affairs, or Political Science with major field Public Administration.
Professional experience in a managerial or analytical position.
