General Statement of Duties: The Staff Associate for Brand & Campaign is primarily responsible for supporting the projects, tasks, and initiatives of overall project management, internal client servicing, enrollment campaign coordination, branded merchandise management and fulfillment, marketing department event coordination, brand management, and content creation for the University's marketing communications, campaigns, and news content.
The Staff Associate for Brand & Campaign supports the Marketing department in creating, maintaining, and ensuring accurate, relevant, and engaging brand standards, practices, and assets. The staff associate assists with day to day management of marketing and advertising agencies, vendors, and other partners; and assists with enrollment campaigns, including conceptualization, implementation, and outcomes tracking. The staff associate works closely with design staff in the Publications & Printing Office.
Responsibilities: (E) = Essential
1. (E) Coordinates the flow of marketing projects between various project managers from concept to completion keeping the project on schedule; creates and manages production schedules for department projects; maintains an annual calendar of recurring/annual projects and initiates projects according to established timelines 2. (E) Supports the Assistant Director of Marketing/Communications & Campaign Management by acting as primary liaison and contact for internal clients and projects 3. (E) Provides coordination and support to the Assistant Director of Marketing/Communications & Campaign Management in planning, implementing, and managing marketing campaign activities; act as a liaison with marketing agencies, vendors, and partners 4. (E) Maintains department project files and communications plan by assigning project numbers, cost, vendor info, etc. 5. (E) Coordinates focus groups, photo shoots, and video shoots by collaborating with faculty, students, staff, and photographer/videographer. Scouts locations in advance based on the scope of the project. Develops and communicates the schedule with all parties to ensure availability and attendance. 6. (E) Provides office management support, including managing office supplies, arranging for deliveries, materials, organizing meetings and travel, etc. 7. (E) Manages photo library/database (Extensis) by organizing photography and keywording images in a detailed manner to create an efficient, easy-to-use system for users; selects and resizes images according to specs for the website, marketing materials, and social media. 8. (E) Fields marketing and advertising inquiries from external vendors. 9. (E) Assists with the development, maintenance, and adherence to institutional branding and positioning; provides branded merchandise management and fulfillment 10. (E) Acts as the primary point of contact for marketing events; develops and communicates schedules and tasks with all parties to ensure proper promotion and branding, production of visual and print materials; implements strategies to ensure attendance. 11. (E) Acts as an essential employee, during emergency and weather-related events, as a member of the Emergency Response Team, to assure timely and accurate communication to campus constituencies. 12. (E) Demonstrates civility and professional, customer-service oriented behavior, worthy of emulation by other staff and students. 13. (E) Responsible for contributing to the WSU Strategic Plan. 14. 1. Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with a concentration in communications, marketing, journalism, writing, or English. 2. Strong ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects at the same time and implement and adhere to deadlines 3. A minimum 3 years' experience in project management, client management 4. A minimum 3 years' experience in campaign coordination and content creation 5. A minimum 3 years' experience with content management systems, photography editing, and digital asset management 6. Excellent written and oral communication skills; extensive knowledge and practical application skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and business correspondence; strong attention-to-detail in writing, editing and proofreading 7. Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, WordPress, and Acrobat Pro 8. Previous experience within a related marketing, communications or public relations environment preferred 9. Ability to work with internal campus clients, advertising agencies, photographers, writers, and other external vendors; ability to work independently as well as on a team 10. Ability to proactively seek out, develop and effectively create content through multiple channels efficiently 11. Ability to learn new technology and apply current trends 12. Knowledge of higher education principles, practices and procedures; ability to apply principles of marketing in a higher education environment.

The firm annual salary for this APA position is: $50,000 - $55,000
