This position focuses on operational integration and project management execution while driving organizational improvement and success. This role will report to the Chief of Staff and have responsibility for supporting strategic initiatives, organizing staff deployment, and facilitating staff development and retention to align with school objectives. She/he will partner closely with directors and managers in the Dean's Office and key JHSON leadership to form an integrated school wide approach to operational efficiency and excellence.
Key deliverables include: supporting strategic operations and initiatives; mapping integrated staff operations and processes; identifying synergies and a sustainable organizational structure that promotes staff engagement; and defining metrics to track progress according to strategic plan.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with the Dean and COS to develop school wide strategies to drive organizational and cultural change and improvement.
Lead people-centered collaboration with internal and external teams as they relate to the entire change management process.
Identify and assess the barriers, gaps and risks in staffing processes/procedures and proposes/lead execution of appropriate resolutions.
Facilitate processes and work with cross functional teams to optimize synergies and efficiencies across business unites and ensure timely business continuity and accountability. Partner with JHSON HR to develop and enhance ongoing staff professional development and recruitment, and employee engagement plan(s); identify innovative and customized training and education to meet staff needs.
Coordinate with JHSON HR to support staff coordination across the school
Effectively develop, execute and track staff engagement plans and community service activities to align with school objectives.
Monitor and assess workflow school wide and identify opportunities for greater efficiency particularly during standard periods of high activity including but not limited to accreditations, grant submission cycles, Evening with the Stars, graduations.
Oversee all administrative activity from a macro level; lead monthly administrative meetings to identify, develop and communicate best practices.
Work closely with the director of institutional research and strategic initiatives to develop better collection, tracking and analysis for staff feedback.
Regularly review and interpret employee data to identify shortfalls and opportunities and focus resources and efforts to ensure success.
Assist with coordination of department reviews for quality improvement.
Implement internal communication formats to improve and expand staff feedback.
Ensure that staff development and engagement align with and address Gallup poll results and climate survey.
Advise on onboarding and off-boarding procedures on an annual basis.
Work closely with JHSON HR and Central HR to identify and communicate prescribed growth opportunities for staff; mapping for advancement.
Assist faculty and staff with developing greater continuity and efficiencies regarding staff impacted by grant funding cycles.
Lead a school wide effort to improve customer service.
Serve as the dean's office liaison on the Staff Committee and Wellness Committee.
Promote our goals of diversity, equity and inclusion
Five (5) years of managerial experience in an operations or project management role.
Master's of Business Administration preferred.
Project management, Six Sigma or other operational improvement methodologies preferred.
