Full Time; Career Starting Salary Range: $18.06-$20.00/hourly. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Involves the planning and organizing of event activities, including managing logistics such as facilities, tickets, audience management activities, concessionaires, caterers, and vendors, and facilitation of communication and services with speakers and facility maintenance staff; or provides technical support of these activities.
Assists in the planning, organizing, and implementing of events and functions in support of the overall mission and goals of the UCSC Career Center. This includes: planning, coordinating and implementing operations which may include symposiums, conferences, program events, banquets, and VIP briefings. May independently manage small, non-complex events.
The UCSC Career Center is aligned with the Division of Student Success. The mission of the Career Center is to promote the career development and related life planning skills of UC Santa Cruz students and alumni, and to provide access to internships and employment opportunities so students may explore career choices and nurture career goals. The Center provides comprehensive campus-wide career services to current undergraduate and graduate students and alumni. It is the central resource for everything career related from part-time employment and internships to graduate school or professional employment. Services include career coaching, career and part-time job and internship listings, on-campus interviews, support for networking with Alumni and other professionals, a computer laboratory, graduate school application support, workshops, courses, and special events such as the Multicultural Career Conference, the Graduate and Professional School Fair and Job and Internship Fairs.

Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent combination of experience / training.
Working knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of event planning and production and public relations.
Proven ability to design, manage and coordinate multiple large events. Working organizational skills, including skill in effectively coordinating and organizing multiple details.
Demonstrated work experience in a marketing public relations setting; identifying, analyzing and creating marketing and promotional activities and opportunities.
Excellent computer skills including a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications.
Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
Must possess a valid license to drive in the state of California.
