Consult with client departments on behalf of Administration, Leadership & Technology (ALT) to plan and implement program and department events that meet strategic goals of the Steinhardt School and ALT department; conceptualize themes, present ideas, and research requests, assess feasibility, and make recommendations to ensure the implementation of successful, targeted events. Consult with the Department Administrator on management of large-scale events; research vendors, options, pricing structures, etc. Project expenses; determine staffing, space, and equipment needs; conduct post-event evaluations, recommending future improvements.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: N/A
Required Experience: 3+ years experience planning and implementing special events or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Related experience at a higher education institution and experience managing budgets.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with technology and social media. Strong customer service skills. Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas based on the needs of the various events. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with database applications.
