Reporting to the Director of Alumni Marketing & Communications, the Associate Director, Marketing is responsible for providing marketing guidance and overseeing and executing marketing for alumni programs and activities that promote and expand alumni engagement.
With the close of The Harvard Business School Campaign in 2018, the School has significantly increased its alumni-engagement efforts. Using a framework of
Minimum 10 years professional experience, ideally with a mix of private sector and academic or nonprofit sectors.
Demonstrated prior success in leading and managing complex communications and marketing projects, from concept creation through final execution. Have experience with integrated, cross-channel campaign design and creation, incorporating digital, print, and in-person channels. Candidate is a team player who enjoys collaboration and understands the importance of deadlines, budgets, accuracy, and impact.
Understands the principles of creative writing and design for email and print marketing and other communications collateral. Is experienced in using social media creatively in a marketing capacity.
Technical experience requirements include: Microsoft Word and Excel, HTML, InDesign. Familiarity with project management software. Copy editing and proofreading proficiency. Knowledge of business and management trends is a plus.
