The Spring Hill School is seeking a Director of Admissions & Marketing.
Admissions & Enrollment
Develop long and short-term admission strategies to meet annual admission goals in compliance with Bay Area Directors of Admission Principles of Good Practice
Manage the admissions program by maintaining a capacity enrollment of qualified students and a wait-list of qualified applicants.
Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment, including systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with prospective and applicant families, interviews with parents as needed or appropriate, and communication of final decisions to the appropriate individuals.
Manage the process of re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year. In partnership with lead teachers and leadership team, regularly monitor attrition and retention.
Plan and manage open house events, admission tours, fairs, and other admissions appropriate community recruitment events.
Initiate and create outreach activities designed to generate new inquiries. Engage the community, both internal and external, for increased local recognition of school and integration into community.
Keep and track of relevant statistics on all aspects of the admissions and enrollment program. Identify trends, patterns, and areas of opportunity
Develop with the Head of School the admissions/marketing budget.
Manage tuition assistance program. Create and establish a financial aid committee process or with Head of School.
Manage the Student Ambassador program, including recruitment and training of appropriate ambassadors, and collaborate with the network of parents, former parents and alumni committee to assist in the admissions program.
Represent the school at various gatherings and conferences related to admissions.
Attend meetings of the Board of Directors as requested. Provide a monthly report on admissions, enrollment, communications, and marketing.
Represent school as a member of the Bay Area Directors of Admission (BADA).
Promote good relationships and create networking opportunities and support for representatives with outside institutions or groups that can be helpful in attracting appropriate students.
Events (e.g., Farmers Market, Chamber of Commerce, Petaluma Educational Foundation, Petaluma Mothers Club Preschool Night, etc.).
Approve and manage content for website and manage website.
Use social media to generate awareness and engage prospective families.
Oversee and maintain Spring Hill’s brand identity in all representations of the school and increase brand recognition.
Manage marketing budget.
Connect with media outlets and publications for advertising opportunities.
Develop appropriate marketing and public relations materials, ads, mailings, web pages and publications that interpret the school.
Promote the school's mission and philosophy, and sustain and enhance the school's climate and culture.
Establish recruitment strategies to draw and keep mission-appropriate families.
Participate in internal and external school events as a member of the school’s leadership team.
Serve on the administrative team.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Support the school and its leadership.
Assist with Development events and activities where needed.
Attend meetings with or representing the Head of School as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capacity to initiate and nurture relationships with potential school families.
Excellent organizational skills.
Computer proficiency: working with database, Microsoft suite, Google suite, etc.
Understanding of marketing principles as they relate to student admissions.
Ability to long range plan and manage the daily details of implementation.
Experience in independent school admissions office
