-Incumbent is responsible for operating the Campanile (Sather Tower) elevator. This includes opening and closing, and collecting fees via cash and credit card. Maintain working relationship with Tower occupants and provide assistance with special programs affecting Tower operation. -Maintain complete and accurate financial records on a daily basis. Provide reports to supervisor. -Follow safety and security procedures for opening and closing the Tower. Ensure safety of visitors by observing elevator capacity regulations, and periodic monitoring of the observation deck. Respond to emergencies following established guidelines, and in the best interest of visitors and building occupants. -Maintain cleanliness of elevator and observation deck and stairs. -Responsible for disseminating basic information about the campus, the Tower, and other surrounding areas. Incumbent is expected to remain current on campus history, general admissions information, the buildings and Sather Tower information – sufficient to answer visitors questions or direct them to the best source.-Friendly, attentive customer service focus
