We are seeking resumes for a Corrugated Business Associate (Entry Level Sales Rep) (1 Opening) in our EDMORE, MI facility.
Description of role: The incumbent is expected to exercise solid judgment in prioritizing projects and determining how the department’s limited resources can be utilized for maximum return. The individual is expected to have strong communication skills and the ability to influence colleagues to ensure desired outcomes; individual also needs to interact with the Plant General Managers, Sales Managers and Sales Reps on an ongoing basis. The incumbent is expected to be able to prioritize requests and ensure the department does not miss any customer driven deadlines. This position is a part of the GIFT program (Generational Investment for Tomorrow). The individual, post-training, will move into a Sales Representative role as a part of the Edmore, MI sales team.
What is PCA’s GIFT Program? PCA GIFT is a comprehensive training program designed to give the incumbent experience in all departments of a containerboard plant and the packaging industry as a whole. Departments include Production, Design, Sales, Accounting, Customer Service and Quality. The training lasts anywhere from 10-14 months. At the end of the training, the incumbent transitions into a full-time position either at the sponsoring plant, or another plant that has an opening in the field they desire to pursue. The program is designed to help build bench strength across all departments for future management and growth opportunities.
Willingness and ability to learn new software packages.
Strong math and sales analysis skills.

Knowledge of corporate guidelines and understanding of company organization and structure.

Ability to travel as needed. The GIFT class travels 3 times per year for professional development training and networking

Graduation date between December 2018 and May 2019 required.
Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree required.
High level of competence with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft Access, a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree or coursework in Business, Packaging Engineering/Science, Graphic Communications/Design Marketing, Sales or Advertising Sales preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and build relationships with individuals of various experience and corporate levels both within and outside of the company.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
Ability to work off shifts (ie: 2nd or 3rd) during manufacturing training, if needed.
Strong listening, evaluating, and problem solving skills. Ability to create alternative solutions and meet deadlines.
