The School of Media and Public Affairs (SMPA) at George Washington University invites applications to a full-time, non-tenure-accruing, fixed-term, renewable faculty position offered at the rank of assistant or associate professor to begin as early as August, 2019.
Applicants must have: a bachelor's degree; at least five years of experience as a working news studio professional by date of appointment; potential for teaching excellence as demonstrated by teaching evaluations, letters of recommendation or faculty presentation; ability to teach studio-related courses and media production. The applicant should have a strong professional experience, working and managing a state-of-the-art digital studio in the media industry and/or universities with expertise in television, web, and social media, and potential for teaching excellence.
