Job Title: Equity Manager for the Water Bureau (Principal Management Analyst) Salary: $7,316.00 - $9,744.00 Monthly Closing Date: Mon. 01/14/19 11:59 PM Pacific Time The Portland Water Bureau is seeking a creative and experienced Equity Manager to join our Management Team. This position will be a resource for the bureau's program and project managers to create a workplace where equity becomes part of everyday decisions and is embedded in bureau operations. The Equity Manager will lead the bureau in proactively implementing equitable policies, practices, and actions, as well as help influence attitudes within the bureau that will produce equitable authority, access, opportunities, treatment impacts, and outcomes for bureau workforce and customers. The following minimum qualifications are required for this position: 1.Ability and experience working with a multicultural workforce (race, gender, disability, and intersectionality). 2.Ability and experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with bureau staff, representatives of other public agencies, the public or others encountered in the course of work. 3.Knowledge and experience applying the principles, practices and methods of change management. 4.Ability and experience communicating clearly, logically and persuasively, both verbally and in writing to a diverse audience.
Any combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the following minimum qualifications is acceptable.
Education/Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in management, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related field; AND Experience: Eight (8) years of professional and responsible experience performing analytical or related work in a public agency, or equivalent experience.
