Conducts a variety of tasks as part of the Campaign team in the Office of Advancement at Chicago Booth. Reporting to the Senior Director, Campaign Management & Center Advancement, the Development Coordinator, Campaign Management is a critical source of support for the team and will manage, or assist with managing, several areas critical to the prospect research, prospect management, and initiative teams.
Maintains the gift opportunities menu, gift opportunity collateral, and queue of initiatives-related projects. Helps draft and edit campaign collateral, such as proposals and FAQs, as needed.
Serves as the main point of contact for initiative-related data requests: pulls, manipulates and analyzes Griffin reports related to individual initiatives, including the comprehensive monthly centers report and solicitation report from prospect management, as well as other reports as needed. Updates individual initiative fundraising plans monthly.
Organizes agendas, takes notes and oversees action items for the monthly research center meetings. Working collaboratively with other across advancement and Booth, supports the logistics of initiative-related events and helps coordinate the logistics of prospect visits with research center leadership in Chicago.
Supports Sr. Director on projects as needed.
Prospect Management & Research
Works collaboratively with members of the Research & Prospect Management team on the identification and maintenance of the prospect pool for Chicago Booth.
Assists in the management of prospect data including solicitations, biographic contact information, and assignments in the Advancement database of record.
Reviews, edits, and compiles in-depth briefing materials and event bios for various partners within Advancement and Booth leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
Provide information in response to specific requests, direct calls and other relevant information to appropriate individuals while using discretion and judgement with confidential information.
Develop a network of professional contacts and provide advisory assistance to other Booth and University offices that seek it.
Serve as knowledgeable resource on the fundraising priorities of Chicago Booth.
The Development Associate is encouraged to initiate projects that will be beneficial to the team and is expected to anticipate next steps and follow-up related to projects.
Education, Experience or Certifications:
Bachelorâ™s degree or higher required.
A minimum of one year of work experience in nonprofit management, development, alumni relations, marketing, public relations or similar work is required.
Technical Knowledge or Skills:
A demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in development preferred.
A strong commitment to customer service, proven track record of problem solving and the ability to manage multiple projects and relationships is required.
Excellent analytical skill and meticulous attention to detail required.
Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn the international workings of the University and the technology tools available to Chicago Booth staff required, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point required.
Ability to work collegially and collaboratively in a team setting required.
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills characterized by the ability to listen, to speak, and to write well required.
