Discover The Palm Beaches, the official tourism marketing corporation for Palm Beach County, is seeking a paid intern to assist the Public Relations and Communications team. This unique opportunity offers students the hands-on, real-world training to learn what it takes to effectively promote America’s First Resort Destination® through productive projects, performance feedback, valuable networking, and educational opportunities within the industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft basic public relations materials such as fact sheets, backgrounders, media briefing documents, social media content, blogs, media alerts, calendar announcements, advertorials, meeting summaries, status reports, program recaps and other materials as directed (20%)
Analyze and support monthly performance reporting (20%)
Create and maintain media lists and editorial calendars (15%)
Conduct media research to support media pitching and key initiatives (10%)
Coordinate the itineraries of visiting journalists, from preparation to post follow-up. (5%)
Assist with updates to the online press site and other administrative duties as assigned (10%)
