| Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Editor and Communications Manager, the Communications Coordinator works with the senior editor in an array of functions that maintain, grow, and develop the Chazen Institute's digital and print visibility and outreach initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.|
1.Maintains website announcements and events pages and keeps them up to date; populates and updates ancillary sites such as the India Business Initiative and China Business Initiative; suggests and implements ways in which the website can be more effective in marketing and representing the Chazen Institute.
2.In consultation with the Senior Editor, conceives, writes, edits, and posts articles to the Chazen Institute's e-newsletter, Chazen Global Insights; sources and formats visuals; hires and pays freelance writers; creates editorial calendar; creates newsletters, event follow-ups, and other electronic communications; monitors and grows mailing list; monitors metrics to ensure maximum impact and suggests ways to improve performance; creates ways to leverage content across multiple platforms
3.Works with the Senior Editor and Chazen team with internal communications, including creating quarterly reports to the advisory board, and liaising with other departments across the School to create timely, compelling communications to students, including posting on student social media and calendar pages.
4.Creates event invitations, registration pages, and event pages to market events; Creates, edit, and/or proofreads event collateral such as programs and bios; assists with onsite and post-event marketing, including posting on social media.
5.Creates ways to repurpose existing content on various platforms and ensures a supply of fresh, new content on existing platforms.
6.Other related duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum two-three years related experience required.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: The incumbent must be a proven team player, able to work cooperatively in small groups as well as independently with changing priorities and multiple responsibilities. Must be pro-active with excellent writing, organizational and communication skills, acute attention to detail and computer literate. Must exercise tact and discretion when interacting with international faculty, administrators, leaders in academia, business, and with students. Cultural sensitivity required.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years' experience in digital and print communications and marketing strongly preferred. International experience a plus.
