Position Summary: The Director of Advancement Services is responsible for two major program areas: information services and gift processing. He/She is responsible for the management oversight of the development and implementation of the university’s fundraising database and prospect management system. Responsibilities include preparing management reports, systems documentation, records maintenance, use and support of computer-based information systems, reconciliation and transfer of funds to appropriate accounts, and logging of all gifts on the database. Responsibilities also include the receipt, accounting, reporting, deposit and acknowledgement of gifts, and pledges. Duties and Responsibilities:
Track and record all financial donations to the university. Make deposits to the business office
Receipt all donors with a 501C3 deductible receipt
Administrate donor management system; the Raisers Edge
Manage and oversee all users and security for the Raisers Edge
Research and create innovative ways for the Advancement office to expand by using the donor management system
Provide financial reports to the Vice President of Advancement, Director of Events, Director of the Impact Fund, and Church Relations
Manage projects that are given to student workers
Create queries and reports to research analytical data
Build lists and queries for marketing purposes
Build mailing lists for all departmental heads and leaders
Administrator of Blackbaud Merchant Services and Net Community
Works with the Vice President of Finance, Financial Controller, and University accountant to balance financials on a monthly and annual basis
Bachelor's degree required
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Raisers Edge is required
Finance, data and analytics experience preferred
Ability to supervise and ensure the accurate processing of gifts and pledges and ensure processing deadlines are met
Ability to handle various special projects on an ongoing basis while addressing daily needs for the office.
