In conjunction with the University Advancement (UA) Divisional Communicator, create an annual overall marketing plan that addresses all alumni programs, using all available media and appeals to a diverse alumni constituency.
In collaboration with the Executive Director of Alumni Affairs and other members of the alumni staff, create, plan, and execute a diverse marketing strategy for Alumni Affairs directed at alumni, students, faculty and staff of UNC Charlotte.
In coordination with project leads, provide graphic design and project management for all print and digital collateral associated with alumni programs.
Perform market research, develop promotional materials, and create feedback mechanisms.
In conjunction with the UA Divisional Communicator, write, design and deploy all emails communications to alumni, including e-invitations, e-newsletters, program marketing emails and holiday or birthday greetings.
Collaborate with University Communications to create deliverables that include print and electronic communication tools including videos for UNC Charlotte Alumni Association program and event marketing.
Manage the Alumni Association website, review and update content to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information postings.
Development and management of the Alumni Association Homecoming website.
Management of the Alumni Association’s iModules On-Line Community.
Maintain and coordinate the social media presence of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association. This includes, but is not limited to, our presence on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Coordinate with University Communications to collaborate on the social media posts, stories for the UNC Charlotte Magazine and other collaborative communications.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in a closely related field and two years of experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of two years' experience in graphic design, digital media, online communication, marketing and/or public relations.
Strong technical background with advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premier Pro), or related graphic editing software.
Experience with web design and maintenance.
Experience in higher education environment.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to deal effectively and sensitively with diverse populations.
Must be creative and have the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of iModules and Banner Advancement.
Experience working in a Mac OS
Ability to work independently and as a member of a diverse team.
Ability to work some weekends and evenings, occasional travel may be required.
