What we’re looking for:
Lionakis is currently seeking a Healthcare Market Lead to join our Healthcare team. This position will be based out of our Sacramento or Newport Beach office. The Healthcare Market Lead must demonstrate respect, positive attitude and the ability to collaborate and strategize for a professional, engaging, and fun culture. This person will consistently promote the Firm Mission, Vision and standards of excellence.
The Healthcare Market Lead must possess 15 years’ experience in the healthcare design field with a successful track record in operations/practice management and business development. The Healthcare Market Lead will be instrumental in building a successful Healthcare Practice including; operations, business development and practice environments, as well as promote staff development, mentoring and recruitment of staff based on the market needs.
Set and Implement the Healthcare Market Vision – Lead the development of the Vision, Strategy and Business Plan (with BD) for the Healthcare market for Board approval; all within the context of the firm’s Vision
Market Expert – Lead market visibility and be known as the expert in the market both internally and externally
Oversight of the Healthcare Market for all offices in the following areas:
Profitability and revenue
Market leadership team
Client relationships insuring repeat business and high client satisfaction scores
Work with service leaders (Structural, Interiors, Planning, etc.) to insure integrated delivery on projects
Final say on GO/NO GO decisions for BD pursuits
Project proposal development
Final say on resource allocation within market
Insure project quality meets firm standards (Design and deliverables)
Help establish staff connections between offices
Mitigation of risk to the firm, both from internal (HR) and external sources
Building the Right Team:
Develop and keep current a leadership transition plan for the key roles in the market
Direct key HC staff recruitments
Balance staffing resources with workload and forecast potential labor requirements and recruitment priorities
Promote development and coaching of staff in the market for all offices
Insure each healthcare studio is a learning environment for staff
Promote staff engagement through events and activities throughout the market and offices
Coordinate the Healthcare BD effort across all offices
Implement public relations strategies in the market and attend business development functions
Grow client and industry relationships
Lead pursuits for Healthcare projects including the development of strategic project teams, collaborating with support staff in the development of proposal content
Healthcare Project Expertise – Provide senior level leadership for the planning, programming, design, technical and/ or management leadership and direction for the execution of significant Healthcare projects
Market Champion within the Firm – Be the voice for the market to the firm at all levels. (Staff, Management and Firm Leadership Teams)
Insure Use of Firm’s BestPractices – Promote the use of firm systems/standards across offices
Connect Healthcare Staff to Firm Leadership – Insure strong communication of firm leadership direction and initiatives to all healthcare staff and appropriate staff concerns to firm leadership
Connect the Healthcare Practice to All Parts of the Firm – Promote balancing of staffing resources across the firm with other markets with an attitude of watching out for the best interest of the firm
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Experience in lieu of the Architecture degree may be considered if experience is directly related to the marketing, planning, design, implementation, and operation of Healthcare Architecture Facilities).
15 years’ experience in the healthcare design field.
Current CA registered Architect who is recognized within the industry for their exceptional client service and experience in the Healthcare market.
Additional professional credentials including ACHA, EDAC, and LEED AP preferred.
Strong technical and local regulatory knowledge including OSHPD highly preferred.
Experience with Integrated Project Delivery and/ or Lean Project Delivery Concepts is a plus.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel for project assignments.
Exceptional written, verbal and graphic communication skills.
