The Human Resources Generalist acts as an adviser and subject matter expert in the areas of Total Rewards and HRIS. Responsible for collaboration with the HR team and others to improve processes that support and leverage technological capabilities within the HR department and throughout the campus.
Manage the administration of the 403(b) and 457 retirement plans, including daily maintenance, annual audit for 5500 and internal audits.
Conduct benefits orientations with new faculty and staff.
Administer the FMLA and short term disability plans.
Manage the annual open enrollment cycle, including employee communications, enrollment materials, enrollment meetings, and coordination with brokers and benefit vendors.
Review job descriptions, assign FLSA classifications, and determine appropriate salary, grade and titles for new and existing positions.
Submit annual salary and benefit data for salary surveys; manage reports and data analysis.
Create and distribute status change notifications for staff.
Serve as the back-up system administrator for HR systems including HRIS, ATS, Kronos, performance management, and LMS. Assist Associate Director in planning for system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and maintenance.
Responsible for required federal reporting including AA plan annual reporting, EEO-1, Veterans Employment Report and CMS.
Assist with leave accrual management and reporting.
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in Compensation, Benefits and/or HRIS.
Knowledge of Human Resources areas such as benefits, compensation administration, talent acquisition, and HRIS.
BA or BS in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications or related preferred.
CEBS, SHRM-CP/SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification.
