Position Summary: The Stewardship & Graphic Design Manager, working within the central stewardship office, is a major contributor to the implementation of a comprehensive program to acknowledge, recognize and celebrate donors for their giving in meaningful ways, report to them on the impact of their philanthropy, and deepen their engagement with the campus. The Associate Director (AD) of Stewardship will provide oversight and management of this position and the programs and processes being managed that relate to recognition and stewardship of general campus wide donors, with specific attention to creating adaptable stewardship that can be used in multi-media outlets. Key responsibilities include collaboratively driving, implementing and maintaining foundational stewardship systems that encourage a strong culture of campus wide philanthropic appreciation and recognition. This will be achieved through such foundational projects as on-line stewardship toolkits, visually compelling templates and impact storytelling with the goal of deepening each donor's commitment to the UI through more personalized and impact driven engagement. This position will work closely with the Associate Director (AD) of Stewardship, various key stakeholders and unit partners. Together they will collaboratively devise and implement new approaches that enhance university-wide donor recognition and stewardship to foster and strengthen relationships with these critically important donors.
Bachelors degree and 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in fundraising, communications, strategic marketing, donor relations or a comparable role with transferable skills including project management, writing, and/or data analysis
Experience in production of marketing communications or donor recognition/relations materials that are appropriately presented and effectively received by target constituencies
Demonstrated strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlooks, PowerPoint and Adobe Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
Demonstrated graphic and responsive design skills;
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience in advancement
Knowledge of fundraising databases (CRM or Banner Advance) or other non-profit donor databases
Knowledge of University of Idaho/UI Foundation organizational structure and policies and procedures
4 years of public relations or marketing experience
Abillity to make decisions and manage multiple projects in ambiguous situations, exercise good judgement based on information and analysis in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment in an organized and professional manner
Ability to anticipate and recognize potential areas of constituency concern and address, resolve and/or mitigate problems or issues while building and maintaining positive relationships
Ability to take responsibility for meeting goals, objectives, obligations and solving problems while representing the mission, vision and values of the organization
Demonstrated initiative and ability to maintain excellent records
Demonstrated ability to develop long-term plans that align with organizational objectives and fit within resource constraints
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends for stewardship related events and professional development
