The Assistant Director of Visual Communications will serve as the senior brand continuity and design manager for the College and will be responsible for brand endurance and high-quality, high-efficiency digital and traditional visual communications campaigns for current and prospective students. In addition to possessing a high level of creativity, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to creative problem solving, an ability to manage time and multiple projects under tight deadlines, and a strong eagerness to strengthen the College's brand across changing traditional and digital mediums.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Design, develop and update school and/or department collateral materials (brochures, postcards, magazines, advertisements, etc.).
Design and create custom 2D and 3D graphics for Web.
Photograph events both on and off campus for use in print and electronic media.
Develop and manage strong, engaging content for social media channels.
Create valuable, relevant content to win followers and fans.
Develop a consistent, unique, and appropriate brand voice in videos and other digital materials.
Tell stories that reinforce the College's brand messaging through digital media.
Collaborate and coordinate with Web Services to ensure integrated branding and visual messaging on the College's website.
Support digital channels with video content for internal and external promotional needs.
Assist in managing social media content, digital presence, and digital advertising.
Brainstorm, storyboard, light, shoot and edit visual communications campaigns, including photography and video.
Design and produce custom animation and motion graphics for Web and video.
Communicate with faculty and staff to determine and define visual communications needs.
Work actively with other areas of the college to ensure a spirit of college wide collaboration, collegiality, civility, and teamwork.
Provide flexible, responsive and high quality service to all, including students, community, and staff, and continuously assesses processes and procedures and revising accordingly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in closely related field.
Two years of experience producing, shooting, and editing digital video and audio.
Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, social networking and the use of video on the web.
Proficiency with Adobe Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Premier, Photoshop, audio editing software.
Strong portfolio of engaging videos that promote or highlight products or programs.
Familiarity with traditional advertising campaigns, digital advertising and analysis.
Commitment to the community college mission and vision.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
Higher education experience.
COMPENSATION: Annual Salary Range of $55,000-65,000 (dependent upon qualifications). Full-time, Non-Unit Professional position that includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program.
