The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Research Analyst II to join our team of professionals.
Provides support to the Chair for the Department of Medical and Population Health Sciences Research and the Directors of the Epidemiology and Biostatistics teams for the design, planning, and implementation of community-based epidemiological surveillance and research.
Participates actively and hands-on new data collection activities in the community and will support other research activities in the local communities (Miami-Dade) as well as state, national, and international communities as they relate to applicable models of community-based research for the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) activities.
Enters, cleans, and organizes data to conform appropriate databases for the HWCOM.
Supports activities related to data management, queries, and specialized or specific requests for data summary statements by the HWCOM members.
Provides analytical support for the epidemiology, biostatistics, evaluation, and community-based surveillance activities for the HWCOM student's training experience, including determination and design of measurable outcomes.
Collaborates with other data and research activities (such as previously collected information analyses, linkage of databases, analysis of secondary data, literature search, writing reports, and others) performed by the department and HWCOM staff and faculty in grant proposals, presentations and research projects.
Collaborates as required with other partners such as other HWCOM programs, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, College of Social Work, Justice and Public Affairs and Stempel School of Public Health.
Collaborates with teaching activities carried by the HWCOM faculty in the department.
Participates in statistical reviews and activities with the HWCOM students and postgraduate students at affiliated and partner institutions as part of the evidence-based curriculum.
Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Bachelor's degree in related field and two (2) years of related experience, or a Master's degree.
Master's degree in Biostatistics or related field and two years of experience or Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics or related field and four years of experience.
