The Media Production Specialist trains student workers under general supervision of Media Services Manager. Provide production and post-production support to staff, faculty and students who use these facilities. It also maintains all of the production and post-production equipment in the digital video editing bays, the radio production studios, the TV Studio in the Media Production Center (MPC), and the Media Innovation Lab (MIL) for the School of Communication. A thorough knowledge of Macintosh and Windows operating systems, and professional experience with non-linear video editing systems is required. Coordinates closely with the Media Services Manager for scheduling, training, and part-time staffing for the aforementioned spaces. Responsible for the scheduling of audio and video post-production editing suites. Participates as a crew member on TV Studio and MIL student/faculty/client productions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
$20.40 - $21.50/hr
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications or a related field, or equivalent in education, training, or experience
At least one year of professional experience in digital post-production and/or broadcasting
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Professional experience with Final Cut Pro non-linear systems is required, as well as familiarity with Avid and Adobe Premiere
TV Studio technical production experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous professional post-production management experience
Experience with studio design and engineering
