This Associate Director position is a part of the leadership team within the Admissions Office specifically and also functions as part of a larger management team within the Office of Enrollment. As such this position has a key role in shaping the direction and recruitment strategies within the Admissions Office. Responsibilities of this position include the planning and implementation of undergraduate freshman and transfer recruitment efforts conducted in the United States. Supervises up to five regional assistant directors and coordinates their respective outreach efforts. The incumbent participates in the enrollment planning process and statistical reporting.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice Provost, Undergraduate Admissions
The nature of this role within the Office of Enrollment is to organize and implement effective and professional student recruitment initiatives throughout the entire admissions and financial aid process
Supervise up to five assistant directors of admissions
Coordinate annual staff recruitment which includes six to eight weeks of travel per assistant director in the fall and spring of each year
Responsible for coordinating, in conjunction with the Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Admissions and other associate directors within Undergraduate Admissions, the application review process for approximately 18,000 freshman applicants and 1,600 transfer applicants
The Associate Director of Admissions works very closely as part of a leadership team that includes the Director of Admission, two additional Associate Directors, and Director of International Admissions
In addition, this position communicates regularly with members of the financial aid staff particularly during the fall recruitment and spring conversion cycles, and fosters a strong sense of collaboration and team-building
