Stanford University Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE) is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Strategic Communications team. R&DE has an annual operating budget of over $270 million, oversees a 5 million sq. ft. physical plant across the campus, provides housing for over 12,000 students, serves over 18,000 daily meals at 30 dining and retail locations and over 500,000 meals at Athletic Concessions events, and hosts 20,000 conference guests annually. R&DE comprises 1100+ staff in the following divisions: the Office of the Senior Associate Vice Provost (SAVP), Student Housing Operations, Stanford Dining, Stanford Hospitality & Auxiliaries, Stanford Conferences, and a team of R&DE strategic business partners: Finance & Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, Maintenance Operations and Capital Projects and Strategic Communications. JOB PURPOSE: Directs the development and implementation of marketing initiatives for high impact offerings, enabling programs, services, events and/or products to meet business objectives. May negotiate vendor relationships. Identify and implement process improvements. Direct cross-functional collaboration across the organization. CORE DUTIES*:
Manage a portfolio of clients and serve as the liaison between them and the Strategic Communications team.
Provide strategic development and counsel to clients, specifically in the development of campaigns to solve clients' communications and marketing problems.
Write creative briefs on complex projects, in consultation with clients, and interpret them for project teams in order to lead communication strategies and implement marketing efforts.
Collaborate on creative development and direction with client, design and production teams.
Represent the interests of the client in interactions with project teams.
Develop, manage and execute strategic marketing plans/programs to meet business objectives.
Create and manage the execution of integrated communication strategy which leverages the brand strategy, incorporating appropriate channels (i.e., web, print, email, online).
Define and conduct market research, including competitive benchmarking, identification of market opportunities, and campaign/program/service/event analysis. Use the results to make strategic decisions.
Communicate marketing plans across the organization and/or university to educate and influence stakeholders
Build partnerships with other school, department, product, service, program, and event and/or channel managers.
May oversee event management to support marketing objectives.
Manage key vendor and consultant relationships.
Scope and manage project/program budget(s).
May oversee interns and other contingent staff; provide staff training.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience in strategic communications, including developing, implementing and evaluating strategic communications plans.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders.
Extensive knowledge of strategic analysis, customer segmentation strategies and business and marketing planning.
Demonstrated experience in integrated marketing strategy and execution across channels including digital; and print.
Demonstrated application of market research and data analysis.
Excellent project manager with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated experience presenting to senior management.

Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
