The Communications Manager plays a key role in the delivery of seamless and reliable services to all BioMedâ™s departments, often acting as the primary liaison between departments, Facilities Planning & Operations Department (FP&O), and the Universityâ™s Facilities Management Department (FM). This position manages all communications for BioMedâ™s FP&O. The incumbent will develop, execute, and maintain a comprehensive, multifaceted two-way (push/pull) communications plan in collaboration with FP&O leadership in order to facilitate superior services to BioMed constituencies from multiple University partners and service providers. This individual will research and create innovative methods to receive and deliver information to various constituencies in a timely manner. Duties include generating and managing content to be disseminated through multiple channels (including but not limited to FP&O website, social media, email, shared documents through Google docs, etc.). The incumbent also will serve as a liaison to BioMedâ™s Communications Office in order to conceptualize and implement information strategies to showcase and raise awareness of FP&O services.
Education and Experience: Bachelorâ™s degree in communication or related field and at least 5 yearsâ™ communications experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with research and/or teaching environment preferred
Background in facilities, construction management, or design preferred
