Roberts Wesleyan College, a dynamic leader among Christian liberal arts colleges seeks a full-time (10-month) Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s Track & Field. Reporting to the Director of Athletics and operating within the strategic model developed by the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country, the candidate’s primary responsibilities include recruitment of prospective student-athletes, student-athlete development, meet preparation and strategy, supervision of assistant coaches, scheduling, alumni and public relations, fundraising, adherence to NCAA rules and regulations, and general administrative duties. Additional duties include leading all aspects of a Division II program including, but not limited to, supporting the philosophy, goals, and mission of the College and its Athletic Department as well as adherence to departmental, East Coast Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required (Master's strongly preferred) with 3-5 years of college level coaching experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, a commitment to the values of NCAA Division II athletics and Christ-centered education, and strong organizational and leadership skills required. Also, applicant must be a follower of Christ and be committed to pursuing athletic excellence as a way of developing students for Christian life and service.
