The Coordinator of Fine Arts Admissions and Promotion serves as the School of Art’s primary admissions officer and summer registration advisor. This person is responsible for all areas of activity relating to recruiting, portfolio review and incoming student scholarships. The individual must maintain ongoing orientation for all incoming students and work closely with the Director, School faculty members, the Office of Admissions, the College of Arts and Sciences, Marketing and Communication as well as area and statewide high schools and community colleges. Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Organizes online BFA portfolio reviews and database.
Advises BA and BFA art students at SOAR (Student Orientation and Advising)
Participates in high school visits, national fine arts fairs and portfolio review days (travel required).
Meets and conducts tours with prospective students and their parents.
Corresponds with prospective students and parents via email and phone.
Organizes process and procedures for the Incoming Freshman Bravo Awards and other School of Art scholarships.
Develops and maintains marketing and promotion materials for undergraduate and graduate program recruitment.
Develops and implements School of Art’s strategic recruitment plan through organization and coordination of campus recruitment presentations and events (Arts Discovery Day, Preview Days, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to serve as positive spokesperson for the School of Art and its programs
Public relations experience
Proficient in use of software such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s degree in art or related areas including arts administration, student personnel, marketing or communications required.
Also, the following experience is required
6-12 months experience working in an art teaching/presentation setting (e.g. art studio/classroom, arts administrative office, or the creative arts industry/non-profit), and/or 6-12 months' work experience in arts administration (organization dedicated to arts education, presentation/programming such as a theater company or art gallery), student personnel, marketing, or communications
Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level 353. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.
