Position Summary: The Program Coordinator for the Care Cafe will be the assistant to the Care Cafe Director and will be responsible for the daily management of the program.
Oversee the planning of events including but not limited to, organizing and coordinating of all meetings. Schedule and maintain annual rotation of Care Caf speakers. Coordinate travel plans participants, including obtaining internal approval for travel funds in advance. Manage all resource research that is done prior to Caf events - order and arrange for meal delivery
Generate with the Director program offerings to meet community needs
Work with City council members to meet their needs for Care Cafes
Work with legislative and city council offices to schedule events, council attendance and community communications regarding Care Caf events
Manage all Care Caf publicity and public relations within YU and externally. Manage distribution of Care Caf materials at events
Work with General Council and Office of Government Liaison regarding budgets and programs. Manage and oversee the programs needs, invoices and expenses, including internal and external reimbursements and developing budgets for each year. Ensure that vendors and students get paid
Arrange staffing for each Care Caf event. Schedule and train all student workers for Care Cafe. Supervise quality of student performance
Organize advance team research efforts to garner community based research
All other tasks necessary
Experience & Educational Background:
Bachelors degree required and 2 years in higher education program support
Knowledge and expertise in posting and creating events to various social media platforms
Knowledge and expertise in Yeshiva University procurement process, event management and grant accounting
Genuine enthusiasm for Yeshiva University and passion for WSSW and care cafe partners
Skills & Competencies:
