Manager of three (3) direct reports – Brand Analyst, Business Development Representative, Financial Analyst.
Develop or contribute to development of business development plan that is consistent with short and long range strategy.
Following UMHS contracting guidelines and template, through the UMHS Contracting Office, and UMHS Legal, negotiate all client contracts through full execution.
Set and revise client fee schedules; working with the vetted cost data from UMHS Department of Pathology Finance.
Receive and respond (directly or indirectly) to Requests for Proposal for reference and other laboratory services.
Provide strategic management and leadership to existing client accounts. Contribute to operating efficiencies of organization with optimizing existing business development and client on-boarding processes; continuous maintenance activities for services expansion to meet existing and evolving client needs.
Provide direct oversight of revenue cycle from existing client accounts to ensure timely client statements and payments.
Develop business development financial goals and performance metrics for business unit and individual team members.
Understand and memorialize lead to close to account management process for each market segment; with timelines and mechanisms for accelerating sales cycle and resolving sales stalls.
Design and mobilize teams to achieve results through collection and understanding of relevant data, use of historical data to make predictions for future growth, optimizing existing processes, designs teams to achieve outcomes and provides continuous monitoring of results to report and facilitate team productivity.
Select and memorialize specific business development methodology for sales personnel consistent with brand. Develop or contribute to the development of training materials and content for use in on-boarding, training and facilitating sales personnel.
Proactively monitors client satisfaction, services expansion and responds rapidly to client problems to restore and strengthen relationship.
Manage risk for organization via knowledge, relationships with legal and compliance.
Work with Director and Associate Director to ensure marketing and sales coordinated with pipeline of new tests or new test modalities
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Medical Technology or other healthcare related field.
Minimum five (5) years experience in business development (healthcare or laboratory) or strategy officer position
Minimum two (2) years experience in direct or indirect management of business development personnel.
Minimum two (2) years experience in management of operations in laboratory, radiology or clinical department
Preferred certification in Lean, Six Sigma or Sales/Marketing Strategy approach.
