Coordinate and facilitate outreach and events related to Cape Cod Community College STEM programming and Cape Cod Regional STEM Network.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
In collaboration with the Director of Cape Cod Regional STEM Network, develop, implement, and coordinate STEM outreach and events to promote STEM careers, programs, and experiences to and for community college students, local students, and community groups with the involvement of business/industry partners and school districts.
Create print and electronic media to promote STEM events.
Coordinate outreach and events to school districts and teachers to collaborate on STEM programming and to provide access to and information about programs related to STEM at Cape Cod Community College and through the Cape Cod Regional STEM Network.
Coordinate with facilities and catering on campus for STEM events.
Facilitate internal communication and promotion about STEM events through all campus platforms and web pages.
Gather consistent data on student participation in STEM events.
Design and assess STEM event success and presents findings.
Write and post information on STEM events for the Cape Cod Regional STEM Network website and for department websites.
Serve as liaison between Cape Cod Regional STEM Network, STEM Starter programming, and relevant college departments.
Assist the Director of Cape Cod Regional STEM Network in events, including occasional nights and weekends.
Assist the Director of Cape Cod Regional STEM Network with administrative duties such as creating and tracking purchase orders, invoices and requisitions and other documentation related to events coordinating, as needed.
Maintain membership databases and coordinate member services.
Serve as Co-Chair of the 4C's STEM Club.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in education, business, or other related fields.
Three years of experience in event planning, marketing, or educational outreach.
Knowledge of local organizations, STEM fields, and STEM careers.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Ability to work well with diverse populations.
COMPENSATION: $28.29 per hour, 18 hours per week. Part-time, non-benefited, MCCC Unit Position.
