Advertised Job Summary:
The publicity manager, reporting to the marketing and sales director, will work with authors to promote their books. Write and edit news releases, media pitches, and jacket copy, manage website and social media platforms, and the design and production of fliers, ads, galleys and catalogs. Create mailing lists for galleys and review copies, identify and contact stores/venues to pitch author events, and create and distribute email promotions. Format catalog (using template) and coordinate catalog cover design with vendor. Develop and execute advertising plan within budget. Represent the Press at conferences, signings, and special events.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree, preferably in communication, English, journalism, public relations or a related field, and 3 years experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.
