DUTIES: - In collaboration with program staff, develop comprehensive outreach and marketing plan for the STAR Program, incorporating deadline-driven action steps. The plan should include the following: community needs assessment, identification of target populations, identification of and participation in community events; social media platforms & dating apps; print materials and methods for measuring plan's effectiveness. - Participate in personal outreach with community-based partners to raise awareness of STAR brand and encourage referral to STAR for services. - Chair outreach meetings, participate in community outreach tabling events, track and order outreach supplies. - Proactively manage and maintain primary social media accounts for the organization, developing creative and innovative media content across a variety of digital marketing channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) focused on health education and engagement in health care; use social media dating apps and other web-based resources to effectively interact with on-line audience on a daily basis. - Manage both web and social media analytics accounts; track, measure and analyze all digital initiatives. - Assist with developing home page features for existing web site, including writing headlines and conducting photo research and integration of interactive media into the web site. (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION) QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: Min. 3 years' experience writing and publishing content to social platforms, excellent post-writing capabilities. Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text) presentation and communication skills; must show creativity, initiative, and energy to identify, propose, and implement new social media strategies and digital content initiatives related to health education and prevention issues, i.e. HIV, HCV, Substance use, and LGBTQ health. Experience with the creative and analytical side of digital content management. Demonstrable social networking experience and web analytics and online advertising tools such as Google Analytics/AdWords. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and content management systems such as WordPress. Knowledge of design/productivity software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Some evenings and weekends. PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations or related field. Additional Info: Some evenings and weekends.
