Independently oversees an internal communications program for the HDH department with moderately complex communications requirements. The communications program usually includes written, visual, digital and electronic communications. Works with management to develop and execute organizational communication and market branding strategy. Designs and implements information campaigns. Develops, directs, and implements internal communications and public relations for these areas as outlined below.
Reporting to the Executive Director of HDH, the Communications Officer is responsible for developing and managing strategic communications efforts and works directly with senior management on efforts for the various divisions, activities and programs of HDH. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for communications efforts for targeted institutional, HDH sponsored events, sensitive issues when appropriate, and miscellaneous campus news.
